It was an honor to work on the Collingwood Football Club account with PENSO agency. I’ve been to almost 700 games, and before my work in advertising, I was the coach for the club’s team of disadvantaged players in the Reclink football competition.
In this 2014 brand campaign, SIDE BY SIDE (the tagline I wrote that the club still uses internally to inspire players), Collingwood fans were encouraged to submit clips of themselves, friends and families explaining their love for the black and white.
With over 10,000 submissions, this became the first “fan generated” AFL ad, featuring past and present Collingwood players, and fans from Australia, USA, and 42 other countries.
You could even edit your own ad with you and Collingwood stars in it to send to your friends.
I have also created brand campaigns for NRL clubs, the Canterbury Bulldogs (Spike Creative) and Melbourne Storm (Cummins & Partners).
